Status December

Now as the year is coming to an end, we take the opportunity to wrap things up with a status update for our business:

Existing stations

As we have previously communicated, we are carrying out measures for inspection and re-certification of our stations in Göteborg, Sandviken, Arlanda and Høvik (Oslo), fully in accordance with current regulations. We should receive the certifications at the beginning of next year.

As for Porsgrunn, the station is re-certified, but we are still waiting for final approval of the certification by the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB). It shouldn't be too far away now, but it's not expected before Christmas.

Construction projects

We have broken ground on our hydrogen refueling station in Västerås! It feels great that we have started the construction work of our first next-generation hydrogen refueling station with a capacity of 1500 kg of hydrogen/day. The cooperation with the city of Västerås has been very smooth. It is clear that the municipal politicians in Västerås are eager to drive the transition to fossil-free vehicles.

We are still waiting for start notification in Jönköping, but it shouldn't be far away.

The completion of the stations in Västerås and Jönköping will be somewhat delayed, among other things due to delays in the delivery of important subsystems to the stations. We expect completion in the first half of 2024.

We continue with the planning for the stations in Göteborg and Malmö, which are part of the EU project GREATER4H (click here for more information about the project). Right now we are waiting for GREATER4H to update the project plans.

Other projects

Regarding the demo hydrogen station ordered by the Norwegian Hydrogen Elektriske Byggeplasser AS (HEB), we are awaiting the customer's instructions for delivery and preparation of the site where the station will be installed.

In addition to leading our projects in Västerås and Jönköping, our development and product manager Torgny has helped The Swedish Gas Association to produce a handbook on the construction of hydrogen refueling stations. It is an important governing document that, among other things, defines requirements for safety distances, firewalls and other safety functions. In connection with this, Torgny has also been entrusted with training rescue services around Sweden in how hydrogen refueling stations are built and how to handle hydrogen safely. We are proud to have such competent team members and believe that others should benefit from Torgny's incredible expertise as well.

We have received questions about whether we have any new stations planned for Norway. Currently, the answer is no, but as we approach the completion of our stations in Västerås and Jönköping, we will evaluate the possibilities for grants for hydrogen refueling stations in Norway.

After the Christmas holiday, we look forward to getting to know our new CEO for Hynion Sverige, Max Lennaárd, who will be an excellent addition to our organization.

Finally, we at Hynion would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
